When "Aegis of Gaia" and Royal Decree were simultaneously destroyed by a card like Heavy Storm, the player that was controlling "Aegis of Gaia" will not lose 3000 Life Points because this is similar to "Call of the Haunted" / "Royal Decree" "Vs. Heavy Storm", in which case the monster Special Summoned by "Call of the Haunted" would remain on the field because "Call of the Haunted" was being negated by "Royal Decree" at the time it was destroyed.
